Name: Charlotte Elizabeth Ferguson, but she prefers to be called Charlie.
Age: 16
Power(if applicable): Telekinesis (levitation and the power to create forcefields)
Personality:
Mastermind?;; Charlie, who is normally intensely modest, thinks she's intelligent, and she's right half the time. Despite her sharp mind, Charlie has her idiotic moments as everyone does, but she just doesn't like to admit it. She takes pride in being clever and doesn't like it when people point out her mistakes.
Love Me?;; Charlie's main weakness is that she falls to hard to fast. She is quick to love but her problem is this: it's always difficult to pick up the pieces afterwords. Sometimes, she needs other people to help her along afterward. But, one day she is sure the pieces won't pick themselves up, and she sure as hell isn't doing it.
Friends Forever?;; Despite her weakness for romance, Charlie doesn't have very many friends. It's all about first impressions with this kid, and if she doesn't like you from the start, you've got no chance. But if you become her friend, she'll trust you with anything. And I mean ANYTHING.
History:
On the sixth of February, at quarter to midnight, on the south coast of England, Jane Porter, a beautiful and peaceful baby, was born. But this isn't about her. This is about the baby in the next room who wouldn't stop screaming; and Charlie Ferguson was her name. Charlie was a very loud baby who slept for about five minutes a day and demanded lots of feeding.
This mental baby grew into a very controlling and bossy child. But around the age of five, the normally loud Charlie went into a shy phase - a period that lasted for three years. Then, young Charlotte made friends with a girl named Sammi. Sammi was a couple of years older and she was loud, confident, pretty, and most of all, cool - the perfect role model for the shy eight year old. Charlie changed her attitude, picked up a few of Sammi's habits and turned back into the gobby girl she used to be.
Years passed and, when Charlie was fourteen, she lost her best friend. Sammi did an overdose of drugs in a nightclub and died in hospital. Charlie was heartbroken and chose to stay locked up in her room; she didn't eat, she barely slept and she just stayed curled up in a ball for days at a time. But it was in this spiraling depression she discovered her powers.
At first Charlie was scared, as she though she was insane. But, slowly, her confidence in herself grew, and she realised something: she was gifted. Different. Unique. Special......Better? Yes, better. Better than everyone else. Better than her teachers. Better than her peers. Better than people in the town around her. Better than her family. Better than Sammi Hopkins.
At the age of fiftenn, Charlie and her family uprooted and moved to New York. She started to notice things about her family, especially her brother, Edward. He just appeared in her room sometimes when she knew perfectly well that he had been downstairs moments earlier. Then, one night, the boy confided in his elder sister his greatest secret: he had superpowers - and was able to move at great speed. He even showed her.
Although Edward was watching her reactions, he didn't notice the sparks of anger in his sister's eyes - Charlie was acting nice, telling her brother about her powers as well. But inside, Charlotte was seething. How dare he be as special as her?She deserved it more.
But it wasn't long before the biggestblow of all came: her parents had powers. So Charlie learned she wasn't so unique after all, and she didn't like it one bit. She built a wall of resentment between herself and her family - feeling less for them as th days rolled by and he anger grew in her heart.
Soon enough, she stopped loving them all together. The only reason Charlie lived with them was because she couldn't get a house of her own. She hated them, she really did.
So, was it sick to be happy when her parents died?
Yes it was. No wonder Edward ran rom her, ran from the house, ran from their killer. Although she would of loved to have killed Robyn and Victor Ferguson, Charlie didn't. No, she had Sylar to thank for that. How she got away? She doesn't really know, a lucky break. Very lucky indeed. And Charlie learned something else that night: her family weren't the only ones with powers.
Charlie still wasn't special. Wasn't unique. Unique like Sammi always told her to be. So, the sixteen year old - slightly insane, perhaps - vowed to silence the other supers.
That way she would be different. Unique. Special. Better.
Appearance/Celeb: Molly Steele
Charlie is quite tall, standing at around 5'7, and has a curvey build. She's not thin, she's not fat - she's the comfortable weight in between. Of course, being a teenage girl, she thinks she'd fat and constantly complains about her weight. She'd even gone as far as to start diets in the past, but never had the will power to keep them going for longer than a week.
Charlie's skin has a clear complexion and is a milky pale colour - the sort of coolour you'd expect from an ill person. Along the bridge of her straight nose, there is a spray of faint freckles. Her eyes are almond shape, a pretty light green in colour and normally rimmed by black eyeliner. Charlie uses heavy make up arounf her eyes, as this makes them stand out.
Her hair is shoulder-length, relatively straight but always messed up. Charlie's nateral colour is light brown, but she dyes it black exsessively, so you very rarely ever see the roots growing. It's sort of a OCD thing for her.
Charlie loves skirts and studded belts - she is hardly seen not wearing them. Although she's normally not the girlish type, she has more skirts, belts and tights than anything else. Charlie isn't really fussed about what types of top she's wearing, but you can safely say it would be black - as you could also safely bet that she'd be wearing boots.
Gender: Female
Roleplay sample:
Clack, clack, clack. Charlie's sharp, brisk footsteps echoed through the empty hall. Occasionally the teen glanced fearfully over her shoulder, as though not knowing what she might see. Charlie had an odd feeling that she was being followed. The silence of the empty hall said otherwise, but she could feel the prickling of watching eyes on her back, running down her spine.
Again the girl glanced over her shoulder but was only greeted by darkness. Charlie heard her own heart beating, the buzzing of her blood in her ears, her sharp footsteps, but little else. Maybe she was just being paranoid? It was bound to happen after you'd seen your parents' heads sliced open by some phycopath.
Another look behind her. A twitch of movement in the shadows, but Charlie's preoccupied brain didn't register it. She was to busy thinking. Questioning herself. What type of monster would be thankful for a mad man for killing their parents?
A monster called Charlotte Ferguson, that's what. Another glance behind and this time the girl did see the movement, and it made her freeze. "Anybody there?" Charlie asked softly, heart leaping in her throat. No answer. No movement. Nothing.
