Niki had dropped Micah off to school and she needed something to do. Dressed in a nice top and jeans, Niki wouldn't get too hot in the Nevada sun. The sun itself was high in the sky, its rays heating up the ground so it felt like you were walking on an oven if you were not wearing shoes. The sky was a clear blue with no clouds in sight, and the summer season would be hot, just like previous summers. As the heat shimmered from the ground, Niki began walking, glad that she was wearing something that would keep her cool. It would be a very hot day and she would probably take Micah out to the swimming pool, despite not having much money.
As the thought of money lingered on her mind, she began to think of her job as an internet stripper. She sighed softly, running her fingers through her blond colored hair before stopping outside a cafe. Looking in the window, her reflection showed. But the face had an evil looking smirk, before nodding once. Shaking her head, Niki thought she was going crazy, as this wasn't the first time she saw her reflection but it was different. It was if someone else was in the mirror that looked like her.
Pushing the door open, a small bell rang and Niki looked around. It was cream white with a few dark tables lining beside the window and some near the end of the cafe. A bench stood to her left and a kitchen could be seen behind it. A young woman was at the counter, serving customers and Niki walked up before speaking. "A turkey sandwich and a coffee thanks." The woman nodded and told her to take a seat and a plastic card reading the number 5.
Taking the card, Niki sat at a table at the end, placing the card on the table top and sitting back, closing her eyes briefly before reopening them and looking around the cafe. Her fingers grabbed her purse and she pulled out the money for the food and drink, waiting patiently for it to arrive.

Robb hadn't been to Vegas before. Naturally, he knew all about it. Sin City, the City of Lost Dreams...it was the closest thing to both Heaven and Hell on the planet Earth. Now here he was, right in the center of the gambling capital of the world. Considering his age, that limited him quite a bit in what he could do. He looked older, though, and he had found that he could get by without being carded.
Now, though, he had found a place where age didn't matter. No matter where you went, there was always a small corner diner, and Las Vegas was no different. Anybody could go and relax, which Robb now did. He sat in a corner booth, brown eyes closed behind his eyeglasses. Of course, with his powers, he didn't really need the spectacles anymore, but he kept them anyways. Blame it on his obsession with Superman or his stylish fashion sense.
Finally, he opened his eyes as he leaned forward. A large bite was taken out of the double hamburger that he had ordered, extra greasy. It was hot off the grill, made to order, like a burger should be. With a light smile, he took a drink of his soda, the liquid running up his straw and into his throat.

The waiter came over with her sandwich and coffee and set it down in front of Niki. She smiled softly, watching as the woman walked away before biting into her sandwich. She looked around the place, her eyes straying onto a male who drinking what Niki thought was soda. She shook her head, a small chuckle emitting from her throat as she took another bite. The turkey was delicious, it wasn't dry like some places had it, it was nice and moist.
She put her sandwich back on her plate, picking up her cup with both of her hands before taking a long gulp, the hot liquid sliding down her throat and she smiled with content. Again, her eyes scanned the area, this time resting on the window. Her reflection moved, speaking to her and she could hear every word. "You are not going crazy Niki. When is it going to be my turn to play?" Niki blinked a few times, standing up. She nearly dropped her coffee but placed it hastily upon the table before she spoke to her reflection. "No! You are just part of my imagination." Niki spoke, knowing that everyone in the cafe could probably hear her.
"I'm hurt." Her reflection placed a hand over her heart, mocking Niki. "Who are you?" Niki asked, scared for her own sanity. Her reflection stopped moving and Niki blushed before sitting down quickly, and sighing softly. She had no idea what was happening and if she was at home, she would've cried. But she held it together and vowed to herself that she would find out what was happening.

Robb was content to simply eat his hamburger in peace. After all, it seemed that lately, he didn't have any peace at all. He was always flying from city to city, trying to find others like himself. So far, he had been unsuccessful. Maybe he was alone in this world. He was the only superpowered person on the face of the Earth. That, or he simply had bad luck in finding others with powers.
It was then that a gorgeous blond stood up, yelling at the window. She said that it was a part of her imagination, then asked who the window was. Robb had experience with the mentally ill - he had been one himself in high school. That's why he now stood up to slowly approach the woman. As he got closer, he saw that she was older than himself, but still incredibly beautiful.
"Miss?" A hand reached up to tentatively push his glasses up to the bridge of his nose. "Are you alright?"

My turn Niki froze for a moment, her eyes glazing over before Jessica emerged, smiling coldly. She clicked her neck, flexing her fingers. She stayed quiet for a simple moment before allowing herself to look at the male. She listened to his words. "Of course I'm alright." Jessica said simply. Niki looked at Jessica from in the mirror, her eyes wide in terror. No, what are you doing? Jessica smiled towards her reflection, giving no hint that she heard Niki.
"So who might you be?" Jessica asked, watching the male with calculating eyes. She studied him, wondering if Niki would be in any danger. She was just so protective of Niki. In the end, it had killed her but now she was never away from Niki. She was always part of her where ever Niki went.
