Name: Robert "Robb" Reilly
Age: 18
Power(if applicable): Reactive Evolution - Robb's power is literally the answer. At rest, he may not have any powers, but in a situation, he will develop whatever abilities he needs at the time. Usually he only manifests one or two at a given moment. Such common powers include superhuman strength, speed, durability, senses, force field generation, etc. Flight may be a power he always has. In some cases, his powers are a conscious effort, such as deliberately enhancing his own hearing, but in other cases, it may be his body evolving to match a situation. In most cases, his powers evolve instantly. A possible extension of his power is that Robb is highly intelligent and able to mentally determine the answer to a number of problems. He can analyze data (scientific, legal, physical, etc.) and discover solutions much more quickly than the majority of people.
The exact nature of his power is difficult to determine. At some level, his subconscious mind and its desires seem to play a part, such as in his spontaneous flight generation possibly referring to him being an avid comic book and Superman fan, as well as him wanting to get away from his small town. As a result, the "default" power set his body reverts to in danger is strength, speed, invulnerability, and flight, though this may change depending on the situation.
The key weakness in Robb's power is simple. If a situation changes rapidly, so, too, can the abilities he takes on. If he changes powers too much or too drastically in a small amount of time, Robb can become exhausted or even fall unconscious. Causing a deliberate power can be difficult at times, and for some powers it simply never happens. While he can willfully enhance his senses, forcing himself to develop, say, telekinesis is impossible.
Personality: At first glance, Robb seems to be an average farmboy. With a boyish grin, he cracks jokes, but around new people, he seems to be quiet. Only those who are close to him have cracked his shell and seen the real person underneath. Due to his history, including the effects of his mother, the young and depressed Robb found a way to hide his sadness: humor. His powers seem to be perfectly designed for his personality: just as he adapts to a situation with his abilities, so, too, does he adapt with his personality.
Robb has a genius level intellect. He particularly has an aptitude for computers, technology, and physics. Often, he'll be seen in front of some sort of screen, be it a computer or a television. He's an avid fan of video games and movies. In fact, he loves all sorts of popular culture, so much that he has become a living encyclopedia on the subject, from films to television to comic books.
Beneath the joking facade, though, he is a rather mature and intelligent man - both facts that he tries to hide. It's believed he does this due to his dysfunctional home life, as well as putting up a wall over his mature intellectual side as a form of protection against his anger and depression.
History: On April 28th, 1989, a shining light was born. Well, no, not really. A baby by the name of Robert Edward Reilly came into the world via Gregory and Linda Jakobski in Crown Point, Indiana.
From an early age, Robb showed an amazing intelligence. At the age of two, he taught himself to read via the local newspaper. By kindergarten, he was performing long division. As he began to grow, however, more and more unusual accidents around him happened, such as lizards appearing in his teacher's hair. It seemed to happen more as he reached puberty, perhaps due to Gregory getting cancer and retiring early from his job. Linda and Gregory both developed various addictions, including gambling, which resulted in Gregory's 401K dwindling quickly. In fact, Robb became desensitized to numerous things during this time, such as watching his parents snort lines of coke. It's believed this contributed to the eccentricity he developed later in life.
By the time he reached his senior year in high school, Robb was living in an apartment with his father. Linda had abandoned the family and Summer moved out. It was around this time that Robb began to realize his power and began getting conscious control over it. On the night of his high school celebration, immediately after the ceremony, Robb disappeared for roughly a day. There was only one indication that he wasn't murdered or kidnapped: upon returning to the apartment, Gregory found an extremely large pile of money on the kitchen table. There, sitting near the money, was Robb, his clothes in tatters, but himself unharmed.
For now, the money's been put into a private savings account at a local bank. Where the money came from, and what the two should do with it, is unknown. Even bigger problems are developing as more people learn of their powers, and it's only a matter of time until Robb is brought into the ongoing drama.

Roleplay sample: The Press Room of the White House had been intricately prepared. Chairs had been placed properly on the cleaned and scrubbed blue carpet, with reporters now occupying the folding chairs that had been provided. A rumble of voices echoed through the white walled room in anticipation of one man's arrival, with a single podium set up on the stage in front of the reporters.
The rumble suddenly lowered as somebody finally stepped on stage. A foot, covered by a black dress shoe, first stepped out from behind the curtain to the left. Another foot followed. Legs clad in dark blue slacks moved out to follow the shoes. They trailed up to a torso, dressed in a buttoned-up white shirt, with a dark blue dress coat over it. Hands came up to adjust the red necktie that was worn around his neck.
The figure stopped walking as he came in front of the podium. He adjusted the eyeglasses that were worn in front of his brown eyes, and then lightly trailed his hand over the side of his brown hair. The rather attractive causasian then placed his hands on the podium and looked out over the crowd of newsmen.
"Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Doctor Robb Jakobski." Those words would probably wake up the entire Xavier Institute. The inhabitants of the mansion would more than likely be watching it, since nearly all of the channels had switched to the coverage of it. The older members of the mansion would probably be shocked to find that one of their own had ascended to Hank's position.
"As it has been rumored throughout the week, I am the new Secretary of Mutant Affairs. Dr. McCoy opted to resign from his position due to personal reasons. But that won't set up back. I promise you that the relationship between man- and mutantkind is at an all time high. Magneto is no longer a threat and we are making progress against the so-called 'Brotherhood'."
"Before any questions, I would like to take a moment to talk about the NovaTeX incident. This was a blatant attack by the Brotherhood. At the current count, 25 mutant lives were lost, along with 37 human lives, due to the machinations of the Brotherhood. The Cure that NovaTeX produces is a purely optional pharmaceutical application. Nobody is forced to take this cure. The Brotherhood will be caught for their crimes against not only mankind, but also mutantkind."
"With that said, I received word this morning from Director Denti of the FBI that the Most Wanted List has been updated." Lifting his hand, a screen lowered from the ceiling to stand at his side. A single image was shown on it, a photo of a young man. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is John Allerdyce, alias Pyro. According to reports and testimony, he is the new leader of the Brotherhood, and he also orchestrated the attack on NovaTeX. With that said, he is now #1 on the FBI's Most Wanted List. If anybody has seen this man, they are advised to call 911 IMMEDIATELY. Now, are there any questions?"
Instantly, a million hands went into the air. Robb lifted his hand to point at one of them. "Yes, you?"
A female reporter stood up. To anybody in the room, they'd notice an uncanny resemblance to Angelina Jolie. Actually, it looked like it actually was Angelina Jolie. "Yes, Dr. Jakobski, you do realize that this is just a dream you're having, right?" Even as she spoke, she began to undress, ripping open her white blouse to reveal a chest encased in a black lingerie bra.
Standing at the podium, Robb adjusted his eyeglasses. "Um, what? Wait a minute. High government position, attention of the entire nation, hot chick I'd never have in a million years stripping in front of me..."
The albino mutant shot up in bed, his body stretching out like taffy as his head hit the ceiling. "OW, GOD--" His form lowered as he scratched his head. That was the third dream like that in the past week. His bare feet swung out to land on the gray carpet of his bedroom. He stretched his arms out as his mouth opened wide, a yawn escaping from the back of his throat. Licking his lips, he scratched his bare chest and stood up, moving towards the door.
With a smile, he grabbed the doorknob, turned it, and yanked open the door.
